Complexity
Jitsi requires UDP passthrough firewall rules, a properly tuned JVB, and OOPS if you forget OOPS, there go your screen shares. Mattermost needs SMTP, LDAP, and plugin management. Chatwoot needs Redis, Sidekiq, and channel configuration per inbox. We handle all of that.
Maintenance
Chatwoot had 4 security releases in 2024. Mattermost pushes monthly patches. If your support platform goes unpatched, someone's customer conversation history is the breach disclosure.
Reliability
